Frequently Asked Questions:

NorthernKnife knives are designed to combine performance, durability, and distinctive design.

Depending on the model, our blades are crafted using premium materials such as Damascus steel or high-carbon steel, known for their exceptional sharpness and long-lasting edge retention.

Each knife is designed to deliver precision, balance, and versatility, making it suitable for both everyday cooking and more demanding kitchen tasks.

Every NorthernKnife is designed to be gift-ready straight out of the parcel.

Each knife arrives in a premium black branded box, sealed with a magnetic closure that opens to reveal your blade nestled in memory foam custom-cut to fit its exact shape. The inner box is wrapped in a printed sleeve that tells the story of the knife and the Viking craftsmanship behind it.

The whole package is then carefully protected in thick bubble-wrap during shipping to ensure your gift arrives in perfect condition, ready to be unwrapped.

Many customers tell us the moment of opening is part of what makes the gift unforgettable, that's why we put the same care into the packaging as we do into the blade itself.

Yes. All NorthernKnife knives are professionally sharpened before shipping and arrive razor-sharp, ready to use straight out of the box.

Many customers notice an immediate difference compared to standard kitchen knives.

These materials are chosen for their excellent balance between:

  • sharpness
  • durability
  • edge retention
  • ease of maintenance

Our Odin Series knives, for example, are crafted from 67 layers of Damascus steel, creating both superior cutting performance and a distinctive blade pattern.

Yes. NorthernKnife knives are designed to be fully ambidextrous, making them comfortable and easy to use for both right-handed and left-handed users.
